Below are the preferences and settings that you should consider before you start entering record information.  There are many other settings to consider and all of these can be changed at any time but the ones below should be considered before you start adding records.

 

On the Preferences | Program Settings:

 

1 - Remove THE From the Artist File Name -  (off by default)

oRemove "THE" From Artist File Name - if checked 'THE' will be removed from the Artist File name when a new artist is entered.

 

 

2 - Create Title Strip Artists - (on by default)

if checked this text is created automatically from the A Side Artist and B Side Artist.  If both A and B Side artist are the same then only the A Side Artist is used.  If A and B Side artists are different then both artists are used with a "/" between the names.

 

Under Preferences | New Record Defaults

 

1 - Number records sequentially - (on by default)

All new records get the next higher record number

 

2 - Mark New Records for Printing - (on by default)

All new records are marked for title strip printing

 

3 - Location - (on by default)

Adds the chosen location to all new records

 

4 - Label, Style, Condition, Cost and Value - (off by default)

If checked adds the chosen default value to all new records

 

5 - If you are importing a Discogs Collection

Capitalization options

 

On the Locations screen

 

1 - Enter a new location if desired.  By default there are three locations:  Inventory, My Jukebox and Wish List

 

2 - Set a location to be the default location if desired

 

On the Records screen

 

1 - Tools | Info Lines > Configure Info Lines -  fill the info lines using other record data
