The Records screen allows you to view your record inventory and enter and modify record information.  

 

The menu bar allows quick access to many of the Records screen functions.  Depending on the database status and the active Records screen panel some of the options may be disabled.  For example, the Save and Cancel buttons are disabled unless the record data is being modified or a new record is being entered.  Below the Record Grid and the Record Detail are is the Title Strip Preview area.

Menu options

 

File menu

oSave changes made to record information. (Disabled if no changes have been made)

oCancel changes made to record information or a new record entry. (Disabled if no changes have been made)

oClose - closes the Records screen

 

Grid Appearance

oColor Schemes - opens the grid Color Schemes window for changing the grid appearance.

oDisplay Instruction Bar - if checked the gray section above the grid with basic grid instructions will be displayed.

oAuto-Height Column Headers

oAuto-Height Column Rows

oFilter Display on Top/Bottom

 

View

oRecord Grid - displays the record grid page.

oRecord Detail - displays the record detail page.

oShow/Hide Button Captions - show or hide the captions for the tool bar buttons

oShow/Hide Locate Panel - displays the Locate Panel if not visible and hides the Locate Panel if visible.

oOpen the Filter Dialog - Filtering (Disabled when Record Detail visible).

oClear the Filter - removes the current filter (Disabled if no filter is active).

 

 

Records

oAdd a New Record - opens the Record Detail screen for a new record entry.  If Duplicate Record Checking is turned on or Paste from Discogs is checked those screens will open before the Record Detail screen is accessible.

oPaste from Discogs - opens the Discogs screen

oDelete the Current Record - (Disabled if there is only one record in the data file).

oDelete All Selected Records - enabled if multiple records are selected.

oModify Selected Records - opens a dialog to make changes to all selected records at one time.

oFind - opens the Find screen

oPrint Song List - expands for option of All or individual locations for print a song list.

 

Select

oSelect All - selects all records in the Record Grid

oClear Selections - deselects all selected records (Disabled if no records are selected).

 

Title Strips

oMark/Unmark Current Record for Title Strip Printing

oMark Selected Records for Title Strip Printing

oUnmark Selected Records for Title Strip Printing

oClear All Records Marked for  Title Strip Printing

oGo to Title Strips - close the Records screen and open the Title Strips screen.

 

Location

oRelocate Selected Records  (Disabled if no records are selected).

oMove Records

oRelocate All Records

 

Tools

oChange the Record Number

oCopy <Record A Side Title>

oFlip A and B Sides - applies to current record

oModify Song Title Text - applies to the A and B Side titles of current record

Capitalize - capitalizes , e.g. HEY JUDE and REVOLUTION

Proper - first letter capitalize and rest lower case, e.g. Hey Jude and Revolution

Lower Case - lower case, e.g. hey jude and revolution

oRebuild Display Artist - rebuild the display artist from the A and B Side artists.

oInfo Lines

Configure Info Lines - set up auto-fill for info lines

Rebuild All Info Lines - will rebuild the info lines using the fields in the Info Line Configuration

oPreferences - opens the Preferences screen while leaving the Records screen open.

 

Record Grid Pop Up Menu

 

Activate the pop up menu by right-clicking on the Records grid.  Several of the menu options are accessible from the pop up menu.
