The Program Settings screen has several settings you can modify to change certain actions and behaviors in the JukeBox program.

 

 

Editing Artists, Labels, Conditions, Styles

oSome tasks have a confirmation and completion message that can be turned off if desired.  When these messages appear there will be a line after the message advising you that you can turn the message off on the Preferences screen

 

Song List Options

oSong Total in Report Header - prints the number of songs on the first page header

oFrame Around Each Song - a box is drawn around each line for easier separation

oSong List Order - sort the song list by the song title or the artist name

 

Title Strips

oShow No Records Marked for Printing - when the Title Strips screen is opened if there are no records marked for title strip printing a message will be displayed explaining that only the Settings Strips will be displayed.  Uncheck this item to not get this message.

oPrint Order - select the print order for the title strips printing

 

When Starting JukeBox

oOpen the Records Screen Immediately - if checked the Records screen will open immediately on the start of the JukeBox program.

 

Adjustment Panel Color

oThe Adjustment Panel background color can be changed.  Click this option to open a Color Selection dialog window.

 

Record Data Options

oRemove "THE" From Artist File Name - if checked 'THE' will be removed from the Artist File name when a new artist is entered.

oCreate Title Strip Artist - if checked this text is created automatically from the A Side Artist and B Side Artist.  If both A and B Side artist are the same then only the A Side Artist is used.  If A and B Side artists are different then both artists are used with a "/" between the names.

 

Grid Options

oCurrency Symbol - there are three options for the currency values display format.

oUse Complex Filter Dialog - if checked when the (Custom) option is selected on the drop down filter list the complex filter dialog is opened instead of the simple filter dialog.

oGrid Search Reset - period of time in seconds before a column search is cleared.

 

Record Detail Tab Stops

oModify the Record Detail Tab Stops & Upper Case settings - click to modify the tab and upper case settings.

 

Clearing Filter Explanation

oShow Pop Up Menu Filter Explanation - if checked when a filter is applied using the pop up menu on the Record grid by clicking on the selected record's artist(s) in the pop up menu an information message is shown (see image below).

 

When Closing Any Window

oAny screen that has settings and data to save that has not been saved will automatically save the data/information if checked.  If not checked a message will be displayed asking if you want to save the changes.

 

When Closing JukeBox

oShow Backup Warning Message - if checked and it has been more than a week since a backup was performed a message is displayed suggesting that a backup should be performed.
